Leadership Failing in America

One of the biggest problems we have in our country is trust of our leaderships decisions and what they actually do for our nation.  It seems like they are more career politicians and treat it as a regular job.  Instead of trying to make our country strong and people happy.  We have all these issues of trust from our leadership because it feels like they can get away with anything.  Hillary Clinton has to have a lot against her with her email scandal with Benghazi.  Why are we not looking into it?  Its like it is being brushed off and she has admitted to making a mistake about not using a secure server to send the emails.  Not saying that she is guilty, but it seems like if you have some type of political status or know the right people you can get away with out it being looked into.  Politicians seem to forget why they are in there positions.  They usually go in to office because what they have to offer and what they are actually looking to do for the people or country. As a politician they are looking to do something in there strength and what they believe in, whether it is for the environment,  the countries finance, immigrants, help the children and so on.  They get drained by everything going on around them.  The limits that they have and also the corruption that they see.  This causes them to fall into the pattern of just being a career and not fighting for what they believe in.

  1. I totally agree, they treat it as a paycheck rather than a chance to actually strengthen the Americas. And you know how one apple can ruin the bunch, the good politicians are getting blamed for the sloppy ones and just settle into the stereotype.

  2. Fran,

I agree with you that one of the biggest problems we have in our country is trust of our leaders. I agree that politicians treat running the country more as a career than protecting our country and using thier beliefs to build us up as a country. I believe that politicians are in it for the money and the fame, this gets the best of them, and they forget why they were in that position in the first place.

  3. I agree with this post. I think the leadership has a lot impact on America today. With the presidential debate going on you never know who is true to their "word" or just trying to win your vote. A typical candidate that we want to have is someone who is loyal, responsible, and we feel as if we can trust. Followership takes place once other Americans see and hear other peoples point of view and they rather follow what they say rather than take their own stand on the topic.

  4. Engaging discussion. How difficult do you think it is to carry out promises when you must get others to agree with you before moving forward? Politics is very complicated, of course, as any other business.
